    1. This exhibition was based on ephemery, seeming as if he walked in and just placed items here and there. A red bucket drew the eye deeper into the space- Blue soft/hard carpeting and whitewashed walls- Yellowed and collected objects on simple shelves-blue disposable napkins with the words You (you) were scattered on the floor.
Vaughan and I spent quite a bit of time with this, going back and forth between each room and courtyard. Then I went back and photographed each composition. Lee Kit is a trained painter working with space and objects, color. Very washy and yet succinct.

Scroll down to the one small link about his process at the end. Each room, whether it’s flooring, wall or crawl space, each composition is completely fabricated from scratch. It’s not ephemery but completely staged. He’s fabricated his loss/ absence.
